This week’s #PSBloggerBabes spotlight is on Lucy Loves. Lucy describes her blog as being her creative outlet which contains all her loves including nail varnish, clothes, beauty products and food just to name a few. Who wouldn’t love that?
150 years down the line someone somewhere stumbles across this interview. What would you like them to know about you and what inspired you to start blogging?
I started blogging as I wanted to have a creative outlet as my main job wasn’t as creative, and I’m slightly addicted to fashion and beauty! Plus it was a way to meet fellow bloggers and readers who share similar interests to me too! Also I think it’s important that they know I love cats and I hate nuts.
If you could choose your age forever, what age would it be and why?
27. I always say 27 was a good year. I’d moved into my first mortgaged house , just got engaged and was planning my wedding. Work was good and family was too! It was such a lovely year! Although I’ve loved getting older as I’ve learnt so much about myself and others that I’d struggle to lose that I think!
In an ideal world, what would be your blog working environment versus what the reality is?
I would love to be working out of some Maldivian water villa! Could you imagine!? But if not just working less hours in my main job to support growing my blog!
To date, what has been your favourite blog post and why?
It’s not my most inspiring but I love this post as it’s the first time I’d tried searching that way and I love how perfect they are!
How would you describe your personal style?
I like to wear affordable, high street fashion. The trends that are now and we see in high street and internet retailers translated into my style. I’m not one for vintage as such (seventies is my fave era though!) so I like to wear the seasons colours and style and accessorize to match too. I want to show my readers that just because we are plus size we can still have accessibility to the current trends.
Show us your favourite picture of yourself and why?
This represents me feeling super sassy and confident in my bikini. I didn’t care what the people around thought and I posed like I see other girls doing (except they aren’t plus size!) because why not!?
What has been the biggest change in your life since you started blogging?
My full time career has grown but overall I’d say it’s my friends. I met so many lovely and caring people I can’t remember how life was like before I had them all in my life.
What is the single most important thing you’d like people to take away from reading your blog?
That size shouldn’t define you. You can wear what you want and how you want to. You don’t have to make an outlandish statement to compensate for being fat, you don’t have to wear ‘flattering styles’ and you certainly don’t need to worry about not loving your body as that will come when you start to think like the above
Now for our quick fire ten…
What is your favourite ice cream flavour? Mint choc chips.
If money were no object, where in the world would you go on holiday? Maldives.
What’s your favourite season? Summer.
Would you rather be a giant rodent or a tiny elephant? Giant rodent.
Last film you watched? Moana (I’ve seen it 5 times in like 2 weeks I love it!).
Do you have a nickname and if yes, what is it? Parker – my old maiden name.
If you had your human body, but the head of an animal, what animal would it be? Rabbit.
What do you usually eat for breakfast? Weetabix.
Who would play you in the movie of your life story? Cameron Diaz.
Most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done? Driven 3 hours to London to go to a man made beach because it was sunny.
